I matched this reel with a 6'6 Okuma Competition 6-15lb 2 Piece Baitcaster Rod with Split Butt and loaded it with 14lb Gliss monotex to try this hybrid mainline. The rig is primarily used for baitfishing shallow bottom for King George Whiting in habitat where accurate casting is often needed. The above combo has proven to be Schmick for purpose, silky smooth and well balanced.

Quantum Smoke HD Baitcaster

I recently purchased the Quantum Smoke HD Baitcaster Reel and it's been a long time since I have used a Baitcaster Reel. This reel is amazing, it's so smooth. I have it spoiled with 30lb braid as I am using it for large Swimbaits up to 70grams in weight and this reel handles them easily. The brake system is 1st class and what I love is it comes in a left hand wind. I am extremely happy with the reel and Its matched well to my Miller Beast Freak production Swimbait Rod. A great reel for the $$.
