11th March 2011, still tired from the midnight flight from Perth to Sydney, sitting in a 455 Bay Raider armed with a very light graphite telescoping flick rod, a tiny new Pfleger Patriarch 9525 spinning reel loaded with 8lb Pex braid and 12lb mono leader.

Before long good sized bream were hard on the bite and the Baitholders were making solid hook-ups every time before the switch to gangs and pilchards. A couple of flathead took the bait among the dozen bream brought aboard. And around about then a school of tailor started smashing pilchards set on 4/0 MT Point triple gangs.

With the smallest tailor weighing in at 1.2kg and a pair at 1.71kg, a total of 25 tailor ensured the reel drag got a great work-out and brought a huge smile to the face!

Thanks to the guys at Hooked Online.com.au for their help urgently setting me up with the terminal tackle to get the job done right with their great service and great gear - I know where all my new tackle is coming from!
